being love

Practicing gratitude and being love, opens me to new ways of thinking.  From early on I assumed that my experiences had to conform to what I heard others say particular experiences are supposed to be.  Those others are my family, my friends, my community, the media, society, old myths and more.  I believe I did this to “fit in” and get approval and love. Behaviors of others were interpreted through a lens of preset value judgments and assumed outcomes.
Practicing gratitude and being love, a new door of perception opens.  I discover that there are choices available which in the past I wouldn’t allow myself to consider.  Clarity dawns through understanding that I am creating my experience in this now moment. Within this paradigm others are what I make of them.
Today I choose to free myself from thoughts outgrown. I declare myself free and clear of pre-judgments and criticisms.  Now I choose love and embrace life fully.
Affirmation:
I choose to love unconditionally, enthusiastically, and joyfully!

When something is right it happens.

The New Year is almost here and I’ve been thinking a lot about setting goals. Last week I led a Vision Board workshop, and we all set goals for the coming year.  Last night was a full moon, with a full eclipse, and today is the Winter Solstice.  This is an auspicious time to review past accomplishments and set goals for the coming year(s).
So I’m thinking about goals I’ve set in the past. Some goals have manifested and others have not.  And I’ve left some goals behind, particularly those that were outgrown or didn’t have space to breathe in the atmosphere of my life.  And this has got me thinking about timing. When it’s time for something to happen, it does, with ease and flow.
What have I been forcing? Where have I been pushing hard?  Investing the energy to build an event or fulfill a goal is usually necessary. But do I need to force something to happen? No.  Perhaps what is needed is not willful action, but rather ego vision adjustment. When I feel myself pushing or forcing, I gently remind myself to pull back and let the good that is inherent in the situation manifest.
Affirmation:
Perfect results are manifesting in this perfect now time!

being love

I love you as you are. You are unique, you are extraordinary. You are beauty, kindness, receptivity and strength. Let your light shine, let your love flow. Be the love that is within you.
I am recognizing love as truly the binding force of Life, the common denominator that connects everyone and everything through all time and space.
Love is everywhere in everything and always. I am practicing seeing love in everything and everyone. As I recognize the love, then I connect with it, and it flourishes in me. I am nourished, supported and sustained.
Affirmation:
I am present to Love, and Love brings me into the present.

this is the moment

Projecting towards future goals while at the same time living fully in the moment is a balancing act. Planning periods are essential to achieving.  Once your plan is set, and you know where you will invest your energy, you can return your focus to and embrace this present moment. Live fully in the now, knowing that now is the space within which you live and love and experience Being.
Affirmation:
I joyously embrace and fully experience Being in this now moment!

where there is good

There is good is this now moment. There is good in past moments.  There will be good in future moments.  This is not to say there is no pain, difficulty, anguish or anxiety in this moment or others of the past and future. What I do know is that as I focus my thoughts on the good in every situation/moment/event, I free myself from worry, pain and fear.
Affirmation:
I am filled with a realization of the good present in all experience and my heart is free to love!

whirlwind

There is a lot of activity happening now.  People are rushing here and there to prepare for holiday festivities. Emotions fly high and low.  Thoughts spin as we try to figure out the best strategy to create a successful gathering, deal with loneliness, find the right gifts for friends and loved ones or just cope with the stresses of the season.
In the midst of this whirlwind, remember to take a deep breath and remind yourself of what is really important – kindness, love, connection and hope.
Affirmation:
Today I am kindness, love, connection and hope.

forgiving

Forgiving frees your heart to love again.  Sometimes forgiving is easy, and other times forgiving can be very difficult.   Some hurts run deep and long, others are short-lived. Forgiving is an act of the mind and heart. Determining to forgive takes place in the world of thought; the act of forgiving takes place in the heart. Whom can you forgive? With whom can you practice letting go of an upset?
Affirmation:
I let go of old resentments and hurts, and my heart is free to soar into songs of love

clouds

I’ve been looking at the sky a lot lately.  The bright fall into winter sun is astonishingly beautiful.  Sky colors range widely,  as do cloud formations.  I’ve been so taken by the sky that I’ve been trying to record it. For days I was snapping photos and none of them captured the feeling of awe the sky evokes in me.
So one day I stopped snapping photos and just let myself be absorbed into the beauty of the sky; to feel its expansiveness and be taken by its light.  With this surrender, came a feeling of peace. I was living in the moment, enjoying the sky, not fretting over saving it.  Daily the sun comes up, the sky appears, and I look up expectantly, knowing that the sky will inspire me anew.

Affirmation:
I am filled with joy and peace as I look up and behold the expansive beauty of the sky.

Create a vacuum

When you are seeking something or someone, and it isn’t appearing, ask yourself: What do I need to do to make room for this in my life?  When you need new clothes, and your wardrobe is overflowing, there is no room for the new.  Take stock; clear out all the items that no longer fit.  Give them away, pass them along, sell them. Recycle!  Keep the energy moving.  In this way you open a passage through which the new can appear.  The same holds true for ideas.  When you are creating something new, be willing to let go of your old ideas.  Open your mind to the unexpected.  Experiment. Allow yourself to explore new forms. The same genius which inspired your last project will drive this one as well. Trust yourself!

Affirmation:
My mind and heart are open; new life is flowing richly and abundantly through my thoughts and actions.

courage

Creating new things in life often involves changing existing conditions, situations or circumstances . And change can seem daunting when current conditions are well established. Is there a stable or well-established situation you may need to change in order to create something new in your life? If so, what feelings come up around making such a change?

Everything and every experience has value.  Sometimes it’s difficult to let go of things that have had value.  Releasing the old to make room for the new does take great courage.

control -er -ing -ed

Sometimes I make mistakes, which result in me feeling I’ve lost control of a situation. Other times I seem to do everything right.
Am I in control?
Reflecting on control, I’m reminded that personal control is an illusion. Control is always in the hands of the One Life.  The best I can do is to do my part, do my best, and then let go. Let go into the Flow.  Letting go includes releasing worry.

Affirmation:
I live within the One Life which is always in expression producing perfect results.

attraction

I think; I vibrate.
Naturally I attract thoughts, people and things of like vibration.
Be purposeful in your thoughts. Focus your goals, and let your thoughts reflect your desires. Visualize your goals realized, and as you do, fill them with love. For love is the power of attraction manifest.
Affirmation:
I love this day, my breath and my life!

This feels incredibly good!

chatter mind

Today I’m thinking about using affirmations, and why they are so effective.
My mind habitually makes things up – engages in chatter. It’s the “monkey mind” the Buddhists talk about.  When I direct the chatter. I harness my mental energy.  Instead of my thought energy dissipating through an unfocused stream or downward spiraling whirlpool of ideas, I get focused.  At the same time I attract like energies to myself.
Affirmation:
Today I choose to focus on thoughts that embody my ideals and goals!

thought forms

When you focus intently on a desire or goal, you create a thought form of that desire. Initially the thought form is like a balloon, a thin empty vessel.  It is a vessel for both your energy and like energy you attract through your repeated thoughts, words, feelings and beliefs. Repeated focus on the desire, and the thought form grows in strength and intensity. The more positive your feelings and thoughts about it, the more positive the charge you build and the more positive your results.
Affirmation:
I am filled with gratitude as ____________(your desire) is now manifesting!

open the door and prosperity flows

But how do I identify and then open the door?

The door of opportunity appears out of a haze of general desires when you focus your intent on a particular goal.  Once focused, your desires have great magnetic pull on the world around you. People, things and opportunities will be drawn to you as the river of life flows gently and easily. Look at life from different points of view to identify opportunities!

Affirmation:
With my goals well focused, I now see many wonderful opportunities!

change

Change is the way the Universe breathes.

What changes have you seen happen in your life over the last year? Have you resisted any of the change? What has the resistance felt like? Where are you experiencing change in your life now? What would it feel like to allow/accept the change?

Affirmation:
I prosper greatly through understanding change lives in me, and I live in change.

its the key!

For greater prosperity and well being, practice greater love. Begin with self-love.  Make room for your self, celebrate yourself, honor yourself and love yourself!  Filled with love, you turn to your family, friends and not such friends, and share the love. Share through thinking loving thoughts; share through smiling, helping and giving.
Affirmation
My heart is filled with love; my mind is inspired and my body is energized.

giving

Giving opens the door to receiving.  Giving and receiving flow along the same channel.  Giving opens the potential for more receiving. Receiving opens the possibility of more giving. Both are important in experiencing prosperity. It is a good habit to give something every day, be it time, kindness, money, a thing or a smile.  However one of the least appreciated gifts is unsolicited advice!
Affirmation: Today I am inspired to give something meaningful, and thus prosperity flows abundantly to myself and others!

balance

Life is a balancing act, akin to standing on a see-saw, one foot on either side of the pivot point. Your legs will be in constant motion as your weight shifts from one side to the other. There may even be moments when, in response to something around you, all of your weight shifts to one side. Then it comes slamming down onto the ground, while your other leg bounces up the air.  As you rebalance your weight, you restore yourself to a state of dynamic equilibrium.

Opportunity presents itself in many ways, some quite unexpected. One of the ways to grow opportunity is to provide opportunity to others.  Then replace the thought “what’s in this for me?” with “what can I bring to the situation?”  As you find and act on ways to bring prosperity to others, you open the door to greater prosperity for yourself.
Affirmation:
I am an open channel for increased prosperity to others and myself!

modify - adjust - change

You know yourself. You bump up against your own thoughts and attitudes regularly. When you’ve had enough of it, it’s time to modify. Gradual shift rather than radical change can open the door to changing behaviors and thought patterns.  Habit keeps a strong hold on the heart. Changing habits can change the heart. Breaking through old habits involves drawing a line in the sand. Taking it moment by moment can be very effective. This time I give myself permission to stay on this side of the line. The moments add up and soon a new habit is formed.

change

Not acting, not moving, not changing lead to stagnation. Stagnation is not a state of statia, but rather a process of implosion, a breakdown of elements; a breakdown of order that creates its own unpleasant aura. As you begin this year, dream of what is to come. Release specifics and enter into the realm of possibilities in your thinking, in your imagination. Emerge into the realm of what can be. Be clear that what can be is joy, prosperity, fulfillment; what can be is health and peace, and stimulating creative challenges. Release the tendency to focus on specific ways in which your dreams can be realized and enter an open-ended way of thinking and your mind opens to new ideas, forms and possibilities.

change

Sometimes change comes with the wind. Other times, the wind doesn’t blow and we sit in the doldrums. It is possible to generate your own winds of change. Wind is energy. To generate change, focus on new ways to generate energy in your life. Action generates energy. Engaging in non-habitual action is a powerful energy changer. Do something different today. If you’re not in the habit of calling friends, make a call. If you’re not one to initiate new contacts, make contact with one new person today. If you like to wear the some clothes, switch it up and dress in a different outfit. As you engage in different physical actions, think about the changes you want in your life. Visualize them coming to pass.
Positive action frees me from limitation and opens the door to limitless possibilities!
