modify - adjust - change


You know yourself. You bump up against your own thoughts and attitudes regularly. When you’ve had enough of it, it’s time to modify. Gradual shift rather than radical change can open the door to changing behaviors and thought patterns.  Habit keeps a strong hold on the heart. Changing habits can change the heart. Breaking through old habits involves drawing a line in the sand. Taking it moment by moment can be very effective. This time I give myself permission to stay on this side of the line. The moments add up and soon a new habit is formed.

Not acting, not moving, not changing lead to stagnation. Stagnation is not a state of statia, but rather a process of implosion, a breakdown of elements; a breakdown of order that creates its own unpleasant aura. As you begin this year, dream of what is to come. Release specifics and enter into the realm of possibilities in your thinking, in your imagination. Emerge into the realm of what can be. Be clear that what can be is joy, prosperity, fulfillment; what can be is health and peace, and stimulating creative challenges. Release the tendency to focus on specific ways in which your dreams can be realized and enter an open-ended way of thinking and your mind opens to new ideas, forms and possibilities.
